Five spirals model surface effects and paradox. Digitally made with Adobe Illustrator, cnc router and cnc waterjet, in aluminum plate, with arborite and wood. Four smaller spirals sit on a two-tone visual display system of arborite and wood for the wall; the large one is for the floor. Fabricated in Brooklyn NY with James Nardone; 3D modeling by Lucy Pullen. Prototypes were cut on a 3 axis router by Jon Pettingill at Rush Design, and subsequently cut with a waterjet by Aquajet Services in Kutztown PA. Videos showing movement through each piece were made by Jenna Haufler. They were included in ‘First You Dream’ a travelling exhibition for the anniversary of the Nova Scotia Talent Trust organized by St. Mary’s University Art Gallery in Halifax. Venues included the University College of Cape Breton in Sydney, and the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in Yarmouth. Completed: 2019
